Saturday afternoon, the Grange will have the next in our series of free presentations of public interest, from 5 to 6:00. Downstreet Housing is the local non-profit whose mission is: Downstreet strengthens the communities of Central Vermont by creating permanently affordable homes, promoting equity and inclusion, and connecting people to the resources and services they need to thrive.
At the Grange, the Director of HomeOwnership, Cheryl Moyer, and HomeOwnership Specialist Bill Meckel will give an overview of Downstreet's programs, and then there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Downstreet owns and rents some housing, helps new homeowners with "shared equity" down-payment assistance and also develops new housing properties. Join us to learn more, especially about home ownership services! Check out https://downstreet.org/ to learn more.
From 6 to 7:00 PM, after the program and discussion upstairs, join us for a tasty potluck dinner in the Lower Level of the Grange Hall. Bring a favorite dish you've cooked to share, or pick up something from the store on the way, we'll be happy to share food and good conversation with you!
