Our singing is spiritual, joyful, powerful, and raucous. It is called shape-note because the notes of the scale are indicated by distinctive shapes and names: Fa = triangle, Sol = circle, La = square, and Mi = diamond.
No experience is required. No auditions. We encourage participation, not performance. We simply love to sing together. All are welcome.
DIRECTIONS: Mitchell Green Lounge is on the top floor of the McCullough Student Center on Old Chapel Road at Middlebury College. Accessible by stairs and elevator. Ample free parking. Enter from Route 125/College St. or Route 30/S. Main St.
COVID-19 PREVENTIVE PRECAUTIONS:
* If you don't feel well, or if anyone in your household has any COVID symptoms, please stay home and take care of yourself. If in doubt, take an Antigen rapid test on the singing day.
* Full anti-COVID vaccination is expected, including a booster shot, if you are elderly or immune-compromised or over 6 months past your last booster.
*All are welcome to wear a mask anytime, anywhere.
