Vermont Agency of Transportation sent the following notification of the temporary closure of VT 14 on Monday, October 9th. This information has been added to the 511 site if anyone uses that for traffic information. The notice is below:

District 6 will be closing VT 14 in East Montpelier on Monday October 9th to replace a failing culvert. This is part of a planned small culvert replacement project ahead of the paving project and has nothing to do with flood damage.

Location: VT 14 East Montpelier MM 2.72 (319 VT 14) When: VT 14 will be closed starting at 7:00 am and reopening by 5:00 pm Where: The road will be closed at intersection of Fontaine Lane (north side of closure) and Kelton Rd (south side of closure) Residents who live north of 319 VT 14 E. Montpelier will be only to access their properties from north side of closure and those who live south of 319 will need to access properties from the south.

During this closure there will be NO possibility of through traffic. Traffic can take US 2 and VT 214 to get around the closure.
