The china tea cups are being washed, the linens are being pressed and all the deicious foods have been planned....for the 6th Annual VICTORIAN TEA to be held on Sunday, October 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the Cambridge Historical Society Museum, 12 Broad St. , Cambridge, NY.
There will be homemade savories and sweets, scones with jam, fresh fruit and of course tea served in lovely teapots.
The models for the program have tried on their many costumes ready to show you what the ladies of the Gilded Age (1870-1914) wore as they changed clothes at least 4 times a day! The presentation by Phyllis Chapman will include interesting comments about the fashions and times of the period, all set to music. The models will be showing the leg-o-mutton seeves ball gowns, sportswear, wedding gowns and travel ensembles. Please Note: The musum is handicap accessible.
