6:20 Purchase of Road Equipment: Toby Talbot and Dana Huoppi
Our 2016 truck was scheduled to be replaced in 2021, and our 2017 truck was scheduled to be replaced in 2023. One of our graders was scheduled to be replaced two years ago. All are now past warranty and the 2016 truck is in need of $7,000 worth of repair. Since it takes a year or more to receive a truck after it is ordered, Toby will present options for ordering a truck now for delivery in FY'25. We will discuss options for replacing some of the other equipment.
Possible Action: Authorize immediate ordering of a new truck and determination of payment options and schedule.

6:50 Curb Cut Applications

Possible Actions: Approve, condition or deny applications

7:00 FY'25 Budget: Sandra Ferver and Gabrielle Malina
Our Town Treasurer, Sandra Ferver, will present us with a first draft of a FY'25 budget. She and Gabrielle will present suggestions for items in the following sections of the budget: Selectboard, Town Treasurer, Delinquent Tax Collector, Audit, Town Hall, Fund Appropriations, Insurance, Long Term Debt, Tax Abatement, Taxes, Dues and Assessments, and Town Administrator.

8:00 Town Officer "Meet and Greet"
Scheduled for the first day of Calais Fall Foliage Festival, Friday, October 6, 4:00-5:30 pm, Town Hall.
Discuss format, setup, and what documents (if any) to have available as handouts

8:10 Selectboard Reports
 Hiring of Personnel – Anne Winchester: Update on recruitment of Treasurer, Town Administrator and Road Foreman. Possible Action: Appoint Hiring Committees for Town Administrator and Road Foreman
 FEMA: Gabrielle Malina
 Roads: Anne Toolan and Jamie Moorby
• FEMA contracts
 Curtis Pond Dam: Jamie Moorby and Gabrielle Malina
 IT Needs: Jordan Keyes
• Our new Town Administrator will need office space and office equipment.
Possible Action: Since it will take a couple of months to get IT equipment and get it set up for use, approve beginning the process of obtaining a laptop for the Town Administrator
 Collective Bargaining Team: Jamie Moorby, Anne Toolan, Jordan Keyes
• Possible Action: Sign Addendum to Union Contract regarding the hiring of a Road Foreman
 Status of Shedd v. Calais: Anne Toolan and Jordan Keyes
• Possible Executive Session under 1 VSA Section 313 (a) (E) pending or probable civil litigation to which the public body is a party.
