Open Streets BTV: VT's First Ciclovia Coming in September!

Celebrate the streets with Open Streets BTV, Vermont's first "ciclovia" (see-cloh-vee-uh), coming to Burlington on Sunday, September 21st between 9am and 2pm!

WHAT IS OPEN STREETS BTV?

Open Streets BTV will create more than two miles of car-free streets to safely bike, stroll, roll, dance, skate and play. Enjoy fun and healthy activities for everyone along the way. Pick anywhere along the route to drop in at any time, and stay out for an hour or five!

OPEN STREETS BTV ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS:

- Feeling ARTSY? Dewey Park is the place to be for music and arts and crafts.
- Channeling your HEALTHY self? Find some balance in Pomeroy Park with yoga and more.
- Entertaining an ACTIVE family? Run over to Roosevelt Park for music, hula hoops and sports.
- Need some BIKE LOVE? Pedal on at the Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes for bike skills, helmet decorating and bike-powered smoothies.

LOGISTICS / ABOUT THE CLOSURE:

FREE parking is available at City of Burlington public parking garages all day.

About the Street Closure: If you live on or near the route, or plan to drive in the Old North End that day, don't worry! Residents will be allowed to drive to and from their homes escorted by a friendly volunteer. Police will be stationed at key intersections directing through traffic. Parking will be allowed on all residential streets but there will be NO PARKING on North Street.
