Leaf Peepers Half Marathon and 5k will be on Sunday, October 1st starting at 9:00am.

Registration for the race is open at www.leafpeepershalfmarathon.org, and we are still in need of volunteer support! Use the "contact us" form on the same website to register to volunteer. Enjoy Central Vermont's foliage in this historic event with Central Vermont Runners!

Although it is unlikely to affect those of us from E. Montpelier and Calais, the race director is making sure that people know in advance about traffic impacts: Runners will leave Waterbury and make a loop through Duxbury, and an out and back on River Rd, returning to the start/finish area at the State Complex via Winooski St. and the Cross VT Trail. While we don't anticipate closing any road for any significant amount of time, we do want to let you know that the race is occurring in case you want to adjust your travel patterns to avoid the race.
