Hello Old North End & Downtown neighbors!

This Thursday evening, join your neighbors for a delicious community dinner (5:30pm - 6:30pm) followed by the Wards 2&3 Neighborhood Planning Assembly (NPA) meeting from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Our biggest agenda topic this month is on the opioid crisis & public safety. Please check out our agenda below to learn more.

**ON THE AGENDA**

6:30pm | 10 min: Announcements & introductions

6:40pm | 10 min: Public forum
Each person has up to 2 minutes to speak.

6:50pm | 5 min: Charlie Giannoni will update us on the new ward lines after the recent redistricting. He's also putting out a call for election workers from the new Ward 3!

6:55pm | 10 min: We'll take a vote on NPA Steering Committee members. Existing members are up for re-election, and we're **seeking new members from Ward 3** (the NEW Ward 3 — see the map link above)

7:05pm | 15 min: Updates from school commissioners and city councilors

7:20pm | 15 min: Learn and talk about the McNeil District Energy proposal. We'll hear from Burlington Electric, as well as Ward 2 resident Nick Persampieri representing the opposing view. We'll then have some time to ask questions to both.

7:35pm | 40 min: A community conversation on public safety and the opioid crisis. We'll start with breakout groups then do report-outs from each table, and we'll wrap it up by talking about tools/resources if you find yourself in an unsafe situation.

8:15pm: The last 15 minutes of the night is to allow for flexibility in case we extend the time of any of the agenda items, so we can still end at 8:30pm. If it's not needed, we'll end early.
