Martial Arts For Kids - Aikido and the Way of Harmony (Kids Hop) at Aikido of Champlain Valley and Booth at Burlington Farmer's Market

Free workshop for Youth (ages 7-12). Parents are welcome to watch or join us on the mat. Discover the dynamic, flowing martial art of aikido. Learn how the circular and harmonious martial art of aikido teaches peaceful conflict resolution, confidence, strength and flexibility in an inclusive and non-competitive atmosphere. The circular, blending movements of Aikido emphasize throws and joint locks rather than strikes. This workshop will introduce the basic movements and philosophy of Aikido. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and be prepared to move! Adults and teens are also welcome to attend the Adult workshop on Friday at 6pm.
