Stream and river-side properties, even small yards, have a great impact on the health of the waterway. Come join neighbors for a discussion of how landowners can help protect water quality, improve habitat, prevent erosion, and reduce flooding. The discussion, led by The Friends of the Winooski River, The Nature Conservancy, and US Fish and Wildlife will include information on the management of knotweed and the importance of vegetated buffers. Hosted by Sheryl Rapee-Adams and Chris Adams at 485 Elm Street on August 27th at 6 pm. Snacks and drinks provided. RSVP to info@winooskiriver.org or call Shawn at 223-4199
