Your certified M. AmSAT teacher guides you (voice and lightly hands-on) towards a process of self-observation allowing you to recognize and correct habitual potential misuse of your body-mind in movement or at rest. No choreography to memorize. Your attention is on the use of your body and mind during daily, home, office or recreational situations.
Alexander Technique is well known all over the world by artists, athletes, performers, musicians, singers, runners, dancers, bikers, etc. But the Technique is fundamentally designed to help anyone improve the way to use their body. Daily, at home, in the kitchen, in the garden, at the computer, behind the wheel, even resting and sleeping, during pre-surgery or post-surgery, Alexander Technique gently guides you to improve balance, poise, gait, tone, ease and confidence in moving or doing whatever you are doing. Body and mind are in synch. Risk of falling is reduced. Performance is improved. Alexander Technique is prevention. In some cases, pain is reduced.
Your teacher is bilingual English and French and understands a little Spanish. She encourages diversity in her classes.
