Do you love watermelon, farmer's markets, face painting, and books? Come join us for The Watermelon Story's Book Launch Party at the Old North End Farmer's Market Tuesday, August 1st between 4:30 and 5:30 PM. The Watermelon Story chronicles a Vermont farming season and celebrates local food, friendship, and self-esteem. Meet the author, do some watermelon art activities, enjoy local snacks and treats, and pick up a book to bring home. 50% of book sales from this event will go to the Diggers Mirth Collective Farm's Flood Recovery Fund.

Other details: Frances Cannon will be doing the face painting (free!) and Wonder Wander Create will have a watermelon themed activity. There will also be stickers and pins for sale with original art from Carolyn Dreyer!
