You are invited to join the annual Remembering Hiroshima Peace Walk and Ceremony on Sunday, August 6th, 6:45pm, starting at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier, walking along State Street with a pause in front of Christ Church for the tolling of 78 bells to mark the 78th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The commemorative walk then proceeds to Montpelier High School where participants gather in a circle to remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims, discuss working for peace, and sing together.
