NEW TIME! Come out to catalog the amazing biodiversity of Pleasant Valley Reservoir, Brattleboro's Watershed Forest!

A BioBlitz is a crowdsourced community science effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible. Everyone works together at a BioBlitz—scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members—to get a snapshot of biodiversity. This bioblitz is being co-hosted by the Brattleboro Conservation Commission and Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center (BEEC). Just bring yourself (and a friend!), some water, and a smartphone with the iNaturalist app installed. If you have binoculars or a macro lens for your phone, bring that, too!

Please register for free at:

We will meet at the Yankee Dog / MamaSezz parking lot, divvy up locations to survey, and groups will carpool to the Gulf Rd and Pleasant Valley Rd. entrances from there. A wrap event will follow at BEEC to gather, help with any lingering observations or uploads, and share out the results of all your work!

Can't make it to the Bioblitz but still want to contribute? The iNaturalist project will remain open and will automatically add any public observations you make within the boundaries of the Pleasant Valley Reservoir.
