Friends for Lunch at St. Albans City School will host an open house on Wednesday, August 20, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. in the St. Albans City Elementary School Library. Drop by and meet the mentoring staff and learn about this exciting, rewarding, school-based mentoring program that matches elementary-age children in grades 1-3 with community members for an hour of sharing lunch, talking, playing games or making a craft--just about anything that both enjoy. Just one hour a week when school is in session can really make a difference for kids who could use an extra boost and a positive, caring adult friend in their lives.
