Eat Your Weeds!
What is a weed? Often, it's merely a tenacious volunteer plant that's growing where you don't want it. Before throwing your weeds in the compost pile, consider that many of them are edible.
On Monday June 26 from 6-7:30 p.m. come and learn about ten edible weeds commonly found in Jericho's lawns and gardens. This will be a hands-on demonstration involving all five senses. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event, sponsored by Transition Town Jericho and presented by Chris Sims, will be held at the Jericho Town Library, located on the Green in Jericho Center.
All weeds in the demonstration will be harvested from Jericho, from areas known to be free of pesticides and herbicides.
