Hello Friends & Neighbors!
This year is the 150th anniversary of the Fletcher Free Library, and we invite you to join us for the celebration!
On Saturday, July 15, the Friends of the Fletcher Free Library will sponsor a series of family-friendly activities to honor the library as a cornerstone of our community. The day will include music, interactive events, exhibits, a parade, and, of course, a birthday cake.
The day will kick off with a short parade from the Unitarian Universalist Church at the top of Church Street and end at the library. The parade theme is "Dress as Your Favorite Literary Character (or author)." We invite you to get out your best Percy Jackson costume (or Jane Austen, if you prefer), and join us as we march down Church Street in support of the library. If you prefer not to dress in costume, we still hope your group will join us for the parade.
