His performance this week comes to you courtesy of Owl’s Head Blueberry Farm, where there are now tons of very sweet blueberries ripe for the picking. Produce this week: Speaking of blueberries, if you are not up for picking your own, the Last Resort Farm is offering a blueberry special this week: flat of 12 pints for $60 (regular price is $6/pint = $72). Also, beautiful pickling cukes perfect for bread and butter or dill pickles, a half bushel for $20. Pre-orders appreciated (453-2847).
You’ll also find at the market this Friday: raspberries, currants, mulberries, string beans, salad greens, cucumbers, carrots, micro greens, radishes, yellow squash, zucchini, garlic, new potatoes, heirloom and other tomatoes, basil, mint, parsley, and other herbs, specialty peppers, scallions, fennel, pea shoots, garlic scapes, spinach, braising greens, kale (4 kinds!), beets, beet greens, chard, cabbage, broccoli, eggplant, shishito peppers, shiitake mushrooms, sunflowers and more.
