Good Shepherd Lutheran Church – 273 Route 15 in Jericho
Our next food distribution takes place this Saturday, 5/20/23, at Good Shepard Lutheran Church on Route 15 in Jericho from 9 AM to 10:30 AM. To help with traffic flow, local families (Essex, Jericho, and Underhill) are invited to arrive at 9 AM, and families from other towns are invited to arrive starting at 10 AM. Newcomers are welcome to register on the spot – please bring an ID showing your address for our records.
This is a drive-thru distribution so all items will be placed in your vehicle by masked volunteers, and you can remain in your vehicle.
We are distributing pre-packed bags of food staples, fresh produce, meat, cheese, eggs, cheese, and butter. We also have diapers and pet food in limited supplies.
Future Food Shelf Distributions are planned for the 3rd Saturday of each month in 2023.
The EJU Food Shelf is grateful to all the local churches, individuals, businesses, and farmers who have donated time, produce, personal care items, money, and non-perishable groceries to the food shelf.
We have a current shortage of pasta sauce, spaghetti, cereal, peanut butter, and canned fruit. Donated food can be purchased and placed in donation bins located at the Jericho Market and Essex Hannaford's and Essex Price Chopper.
