Our "Songs of the Night" concerts will include a variety of beautiful and evocative pieces for women's voices that reflect powerful emotions of love and devotion, both sacred and secular, that are often associated with the moon and stars at night.
Featured composers include Johannes Brahms, Randall Stroope, Cole Porter and many more. We'll add a bit of cinematic color to the concerts with "Vuelie" – a song based on an ancient traditional Scandinavian folk song you might remember from Disney's "Frozen" and a fun Acadian folksong "Marie Madeleine" complete with spoons for accompaniment! Joining Bella Voce as Guest Artists will be Mary Ann Samuels on hammer dulcimer with Chapin Kaynor on recorder.
