Montpelier Contra Dance this Saturday!

Since it's the first Saturday of the month, it's time for another contra dance in this long-running series! It will happen, as usual, at the Capital City Grange Hall, 6612 VT-12, Berlin VT 05602, just one mile south of Montpelier, from 8-11 PM, with an instruction/refresher session starting about 7:40, with dancing from 8:00 to 11:00.

Sue Rosen will be our caller, teaching and calling the dances, with music by three great musicians: Bruce Rosen on guitar and keyboard, Rachel Bell on accordion and Molly Tucker on fiddle! Sue says, the answer to whether you'll have fun at the dance: Absolutely Yes!

(Note from Peggy, "I have known Sue and Bruce from way back, from the Concord Scout House dances in Concord, MA. The answer is, Hell yes!! It will be a hot dance!" )

We always love to have new folks join us! If you haven't been to a contra dance, check out the videos of folks dancing in the Grange Hall at: http://capitalcitygrange.org/dancing/contradancing/. You'll also see our COVID protocols--we require good masks: N95, KN95/KF94 or medical/surgical masks. Please bring your own, we'll have a few extras if needed. If you feel sick, please stay away and join us at our next dance.

Admission prices: $12 for adults, $5 for kids & low-income folks, or be a "dance supporter" and give us $20, to help us pay the wonderful callers, musicians and sound techs for the great work they do. Choose what price matches your resources. We're happy to have everyone who comes, whatever you pay!
