Celebrate Green Up and Arbor Day by helping the Essex Junction Tree Committee plant young trees at the nursery that will eventually grace the streets of Essex Junction. For the past five years, the Tree Committee has been growing our own trees at the Branch Out Burlington nursery providing the city with beautiful trees at considerable savings to the community.
What: Tree Planting at the Burlington Community Tree Nursery
This year we are planting 200 trees in the nursery that in a couple of years will be gracing our streets and parks. It will be lots of fun, and make you feel good too.
When: Saturday, May 6
Where: UVM Horticulture Research Center (on Green Mountain Drive in South Burlington, off Shelburne Road behind IDX (now called General Electric Health Care). Follow the signs.
What Time: 9:00 – 11:30 am
What else: Refreshments and door prizes for all!
No experience needed. Event takes place RAIN OR SHINE
Children of all ages are most welcome, but please leave your dog at home (It's UVM policy)
