Trevor Corp has bounced around between artistic mediums for most of his life. His interests have included printmaking, painting, woodworking, metalsmithing, and jewelry. His latest works highlight all these pursuits.

Trevor Corp describes his Red Mill Gallery show, TICK-Tock:

"These new pieces have been a joy to create. Setting out to make sculptures with a focus on clocks, I wanted to make objects that have a playful, whimsical feel. This process is more about discovery, starting with a found item, piece of wood, metal, or whatever else struck my eye. Then I search for another object, shape, or color to go with the first. Assembling, disassembling, again and again. Working on multiple pieces at once, there are times that one piece donates a part to another. These clocks have had donors, transplants, and been recipients. Sometimes one of the flowers even donated some petals to its neighboring clock realizing it served them better.

These small functional sculptures are allowing me to explore the creative practices that have interested me so far in my life. Providing a canvas to combine print, wood, painting, metal, and my attraction to certain objects, while maintaining what I hope is perceived as a cohesive product with a soul. My intention is that when people view these pieces, they will think about more than the time…"
