DI LADY DI comes to Burlington, Vermont Main Street Landing, May 26 and 27, 2023

A New, Award Winning, One Woman, Powerhouse Musical chronicling the life of Lady Diana.

Charlotte Munson (2005 Delano Nulty Award & Lyric Theatre Company Alum), an award-winning playwright and creator of DI LADY DI, is bringing her hit musical to Vermont, where her theatrical roots were first planted. In addition to honing her skills as a triple threat in Williston Central School and CVU musicals, Charlotte grew up performing with Stowe Theater Guild, Lamoille County Players, and Lyric Theatre Company. Charlotte was most recently seen locally in THE 39 STEPS and LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR with Saint Michael Playhouse, and Vermont Stage's THE LAST WIDE OPEN in 2019.

DI LADY DI premiered in 2022 at the Hollywood Fringe Festival (largest Theatre Festival on the West Coast) and won BEST MUSICAL out of over 300 submissions. DI LADY DI was also awarded TVO's "Best of the Fringe", Combined Artform's "Pick of the Fringe" and "Best of the Broadwater" with an extended run. Since it's premier, DI LADY DI has been invited to perform at The Krain Theatre, Off-Broadway and across CA: Namba Arts, Ventura; Porters of Hellsgate, North Hollywood; Sierra Madre Playhouse, Sierra Madre; and Little Fish Theater, San Pedro.

DI LADY DI was created in collaboration with composer Richard Munson (Charlotte's father) whose work has been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kitchen, The Mudd Club, The American Dance Festival and Aix-en- Provence in France.

Synopsis:
A comedic and searingly innovative take on an oft-told story, DI LADY DI eschews the royal fairytale glitz and glamour to dive beneath the surface of Diana's psyche. Under pressure to sacrifice self and conform to oppressive external demands, Di bravely relinquishes illusory dreams, emerging from her crucible-chrysalis as a powerful woman of influence, transcending celebrity and transforming the monarchy.
