Have you wanted to learn more about Yoga but weren't sure what would be the right class for you? Maybe you are looking to expand your current practice? Or perhaps you just love yoga and want to join the fun on Sunday morning!

Please join me for a beginner based yoga workshop that is designed for people of all ages and abilities. I want to share the tools I have learned to help improve breathing (not having to rely on inhalers,steroids, nebulizer etc.), increase flexibility/range of motion, reduce stress in the mind and the body, and decrease pain; both emotionally and physically.

I will provide yoga mats, blankets, blocks, and straps to provide support for all different body types and abilities so you don't need to worry about bringing anything. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid eating 2+ hours before. I will show modifications to each position so you can find what works best for you and your body. There are no expectations or judgments. You are more than welcome to rest at any time.

Workshop Sequence:

9-910 Opening Circle, Into to Yoga, Deep Breathing Exercise
910-915 Joint Opening Exercises, Warm-Ups
915-930 What is a Sun Salutation? Demonstration & optional participation
930-945 Standing Postures - Extended Side Angle (Utthita Parsvakonasana), Wide Leg Forward Bend (Prasarita Padottanasana), Forward Bend (Padahasthasana), Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), Child's pose (Resting Posture- Balasana)
945-950 Balance Postures- Tree (Vrksasana), Crane (Bakasana)
* Transition to the floor, Forward Bend, Downward Dog, Cat/Cow, Rest in Child's pose
950-10 Seated Postures - Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana), Half Spinal Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasana), Bound Angle (Baddha Konasana)
10-1015 Reclined Postures- Spinal Rock/Circles (Pawanmuktasana), Supported Bridge (Setu Bandhasana), Reclined Knees to Chest (Supta Pawanmuktasana), Reclined Twist (Jathara Parivartanasana)
1015-1025 Final Relaxation Pose (Shavasana), Guided Relaxation Meditation
1025-1030 Closing Circle

You have the ability to improve your overall quality of life with the healing practice of Yoga. I'll show you how you can do it anytime, anywhere :)
