It's National Volunteer Week - and in the Little City, VOLUNTEERS ARE A VITAL PART of what keeps our community vibrant and strong.
On behalf of Vergennes Partnership, we invite you to join us on Monday, April 24th from 5:00-7:00pm at the Strong House Inn. We're looking to recruit some new board members for additional energy and expertise. Volunteer opportunities are available too, as we slide into our new fiscal year, July 1st.
The MEET & GREET will be an informal free flow gathering. No formal agenda or program, you'll meet board members who are somewhat new to the organization and others that have been part of the non-profit organization since its inception in 1999.
From Dine Around to Sidewalk Sales and Santa Claus, the Partnership plays a role in several aspects within the community. But do you know….
As a Designated Downtown since 1999, grant opportunities and benefits made available to the Partnership have made Vergennes a much better place to live, work and play. Over the years, downtown enhancements through grants and fundraising have increased safety and accessibility as well as made for better aesthetics and beauty up, down and all-around Main. From crosswalks to sidewalks and the 10 Day-$35K Giveaway, the VP has obtained grants to support our businesses downtown and beyond.
The Partnership works to promote Vergennes and assists in helping the City reach its full potential. Can't make in next Monday? Two more MEET & GREETs are on the horizon: Tuesday, May 2 at Hired Hand and Wednesday, May 10 at lu.lu ice cream. Time for each: 4:00-6:00pm.
Join us when you can for any of the 3 free flow MEET & GREETs. Bring a friend or neighbor and get to know the VP as we work to build an even better community!
Best,
Julie
