Solaris Vocal Ensemble is excited to present Deep River – A Spiritual Journey, a program of stirring spirituals and folk songs that reflect heartfelt longing, love, and joy. These concerts will highlight beloved spiritual arrangements by Andre Thomas, Jacqueline Hairston, Udine Moore, Robert DeCormier and more as well as brilliant settings of early American folk hymns by Mack Wilberg. Solaris is thrilled to welcome back as guest artist, saxophonist Clayton Hamilton. Clayton, currently the Band Director at Burlington High School, has performed with the Burlington Civic Orchestra and has been guest soloist with the Houghton College Chamber Orchestra. Clayton will perform several moving arrangements with the choir as well as perform a set of reflections on English folksongs for saxophone by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Concerts are:
