Inspired by Moderator Gus Seelig, the Calais selectboard has given Historic Kents Corner, Inc. permission to resume offering a simplified-- but delicious Town Meeting Lunch to all attendees free of charge. After organizing the Town Meeting Lunch for the past 20 years as a fundraiser, this one's on US-- in the spirit of breaking bread together immediately following the meeting itself at Calais Elementary School. Our volunteers have procured vegetarian and meat chili from Screamin' Joe's Kitchen, donated cheese from Cabot, fresh-baked cornbread (both gluten-free and regular), and of course homemade pies and beverages. Donations of cash or non-perishable food for the Food Shelf will be gratefully accepted. We look forward to sitting down together with our neighbors after a vigorous Town Meeting. See you all there!
