A small group of interested New Haven residents will meet, weather permitting, at the New Haven Town Green at 3PM on Sunday July 13th. Plans are to walk 1-2 miles. All who participate are advised to wear hiking boots, bring water and bug repellent. This gathering is part of the Trails initiative, a joint effort of the town Conservation Commission and Parks Department. We are in the initial stages of investigating (on foot, using maps, talking to residents) areas where walking trails may be appropriate as recreational community assets to the town.
