Connect Suicide Prevention Training on July 21st
Aita Romain and Lisa MacDonald are offering a FREE Connect Suicide Prevention Training on July 21, 2014 from 8am-3:00pm at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Heater Road at 18 Old Etna Road. Designated a National Best Practice program, Connect training utilizes a unique community-based model designed to increase the competence of community members responding to suicide incidents and individuals at risk. Suicide Prevention and Intervention Training for school and social service providers includes a review of National Best Practice suicide prevention/intervention policies and procedures specific to general community members, social service organizations, interactive case scenarios and discussion on how to integrate key community services for an effective and comprehensive response. The first 4 hours (until 12:30pm) will be a Gatekeeper training relevant to everyone in the community. The last 2 hours will be more specific to those who are School and Social Service Agency employees. Space is limited! Register by July 11th. Registration is required. Lunch will be provided.
