Do people tell you you are funny? Do you think you are funny? Would you like to try your hand (or mouth) at Stand-up Comedy? Look no further than the Waterbury Public Library. Really? We are more than just books or tech.
Denise McCarty has been doing stand-up for years around the state and is well known as a stand-up comedienne. We are thrilled to have her back at the library facilitating the Stand-up Comedy Workshop this coming Saturday. You will learn the elements of comedy; What makes a good joke and why timing is crucial. You'll also have a chance to write your own original material and perform in a totally safe and supportive space. Denise not only is funny, she is a great teacher too! Register by calling the library at 802.244.7036 or emailing judi@waterburypubliclibrary.com.
The workshop is from ages 18 to 88. Just kidding, you can come if you are 89.
Saturday, February 11th from 10-noon in the library's SAL Room.
