A newly formed Lions club will meet at the Pearson library in Shelburne Wednesday evening, Feb 8th. Social time begins at 6:30 PM, followed by the meeting: 7:00 - 8:00.

The focus will be on community service projects planned for Shelburne, South Burlington, UVM campus, and adjacent areas of Burlington.

Planned projects include alleviating food insecurity and homelessness, vision care for those in need, recycling eyeglasses, and working toward a sustainable environment – all in our local area.

Lions Clubs International is a volunteer service organization where members help neighbors. Members are asked to help with one or more projects a year. Lions is the largest service organization worldwide. It's non-political and non-denominational. A key motto of Lions is "Kindness Matters."
