Give your clothes a second chance, and get them repaired for FREE! Addison County Solid Waste Management District is hosting a clothing/accessory specific repair fair and swap shop on Saturday, February 25th, at the Bixby Memorial Library in Vergennes. Enjoy refreshments, learn basic mending skills, swap clothes, enter a free raffle, and get your jewelry and clothing fixed by your neighbors in Addison County. Volunteers spots to help with event check-in, check-out, and assisting with the clothing swap are still open! No sewing experience is needed. The "Snow Date" for this event will be March 11th.

To participate in the Repair Fair: You can pre-register for repairs on our webpage to get updates on whether cancelations and changes to the list of repairable items. Bring clothing or jewelry to one of the check-in tables on the day of the event. The repair fair will be held on the second floor and basement levels of the library. To reduce waiting times for everyone, participants will join the back of the line for each new item to be repaired. Participants should bring any materials or parts needed for the repair to increase the chances of their item getting mended.

To participate in the Swap Shop: Bring in new or gently used clothing or handbags to exchange. Items should be clean and ready to go to a new home. We ask people to only bring 5 items per person. The swap will be located on the second floor of the library in the half-round room. Bring your own bags for taking things from the swap!
