Middle and high school students are invited to celebrate having an early release from school on Wednesday, Feb. 1 by coming to the library for some friendly competition starting at 12:30 pm. We'll have a tournament-style set-up of two easy-to-play (but still require your strategy smarts) games: Connect 4 and Battleship.

The plan is to allow for multiple games to be running at once as we go through a bracket of head-to-head competitions, so there shouldn't be too much time waiting around -- though we will have snacks and other games/activities available as we stick around to see who gets to claim the title of ultimate champion for each game.

The program will conclude at 1:30 pm, though middle and high school students are allowed to hang at the library on their own afterward. If you plan to take the bus directly to the library, please notify your school in advance.
