Self-defense and Empowerment workshop for LGBTQ+ Youth 10-17 years, and their allied friends. Saturday March 11th 2:15-3:45pm. Sliding scale $10-$25

Come explore your power (and opression!) in a fun and supportive environment while learning practical tools to defend yourself. Class will include boundary setting, kicks and strikes on pads, grab releases, blocking and evasion,verbal strategies, scenario, practice and peace based self-defense philosophy. No experience necessary, all levels welcome.

We also have an 8 week series class on Wednesdays 5-5:55pm in April and May for those who would like more in depth training.

Class is held at Bethany Church (not affiliated) in Montpelier. Masks are required.

Taught by Tristan Elliott (she /her), 2nd degree black belt in kajukenbo kung fu, with over 20 years experience teaching youth of all ages.
