Jacques Tati's comedy "Mon Oncle" will be shown at the Maple Corner Community Center on Friday, February 7, at 7:00 PM.
The comic genius Tati stars as the well-meaning, socially awkward Monsieur Hulot, who is in Paris on a visit to his sister and family. Within this simple narrative, Tati makes a statement, with great and mostly silent humor, about how the old human-scale Paris is giving way to a modern, mechanized, and soulless place.
Rick Winston will introduce the film and lead a discussion afterwards.
Admission is $5-10 at the door.
