Yes, that's a term, and I've started a MeetUp group for those of us stuck in that state. My husband has Alzheimer's and will be in a nursing home for the rest of his life, diminishing all the time. There is no possible closure and there's no way to know how long this state will last.

There are many like me, and I know friends and family can struggle with supporting us, so we need to help each other.

Hopefully this will develop into a real group - tomorrow will be the first meeting (so far there will be 3 of us). If you have time at 11, stop by the Bagel Cafe or sign up on Meetup for updates or email me.
