Impact of Climate Change on Vermont

Join this discussion to understand how to prepare our city for the future. The unequal experience of climate impacts, the issues of climate migration, and creating more inclusive communities, will be part of this discussion. The League of Women Voters of Vermont, in partnership with Kellogg-Hubbard Library presents the third program in its 2022 series on The Impact of Climate Change on Vermont next Wednesday, January 11 at 7:00 pm.

The program will be hosted via Zoom and is open to the public. Attendance is free, but all guests must register in advance at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAvf-mtrzoqH9G_OWX1GGl_Cu50naHTl-gF.

This session, on Climate Change and Social Justice will be a conversation moderated by Sen. Kesha Ram Hinsdale. Kesha received a 2022 Environmental Merit Award from the Environmental Protection Agency for her Environmental Justice work. Joining her will be Kashka Orlow, advocate and private consultant, who is participating with Vermont's Climate Council on the Just Transitions subcommittee addressing connections between social equity and climate issues; and Judy Dow, the executive director of Gedakina, a multigenerational organization that supports Indigenous youth, women and families across New England.
