Kyrgyz Exchange Student Gives Us a Look at Life in Her Home Country

Aiana, an exchange student from Kyrgyzstan now attending MMU, invites you to join her for a personal look at her home country, its history and its culture. She looks forward to meeting you and your family's children at the Huntington Public Library this coming Sunday at 1:00 PM. It promises to be an interesting and fun experience for children and adults alike.

Aiana appreciates the chance to attend school and learn about life here. In the words of the 15 year-old scholar, "I also want to give children and adults the opportunity to learn about Kyrgyzstan's history and culture, and about how children in my country play and live."

Aiana will spend part of her time on Sunday showing children how to play typical Kyrgyz games. She also promises to teach some children how write their names and learn a few general phrases in her native Kyrgyz language.

And knowing that food is an important part of every culture, Aiana is preparing some traditional Kyrgyz snacks for the occasion!
