Over the next year, the Lydia Taft Pratt library will be developing a long-range strategic plan. To this end, we've been holding meetings to gather community input and insight into our process. If you were unable to come to the first meeting in October, we are meeting again to invite your perspectives on future directions for our library. (And, we'll have PIZZA!!!!)
You may be aware that some changes will be coming to 150 West Street, as the folks who have been stewarding the Dummerston Community Center for the last 27 years have decided that it's time to step down. This will create some opportunities and possibly some challenges for the library.
Ultimately, we are hoping to be able to provide Dummerston with the kind of library services that our surrounding communities enjoy. Lydia Taft Pratt Library is YOUR public library, and we are hoping that you will want to contribute your thoughts and ideas about the library expansion, and be part of the process to realize the library's potential!
If you were at the last meeting, please bring a neighbor or friend to this one, as we continue the discussion. We hope to hear from as many Dummerston folks as possible. If you are unable to make this meeting, I am happy to discuss your thoughts and ideas at any time. (But, you have to come to the meeting if you want the Pizza! )
Please get in touch with Dena with any ideas, questions, concerns, etc.
