The Green Mountain Meditation Center (267 Academy Rd, Jacksonville, VT) invites you to a mindfulness meditation retreat on Sunday, March 9, from 10 am to 4 pm.
Come for as long or as little as you like. The retreat will include both seated and walking meditation, yoga, and a light lunch. It is free and open to all (no prior experience necessary) with donations of any amount gratefully accepted.
Mindfulness is an ancient technique that is gaining popularity in the modern world because it offers an extremely simple way of retraining the mind away from stress-inducing habit patterns. All Mindfulness practices will be taught by an actual esteemed Buddhist Monk from Sri Lanka. So come learn from Bhante Rathana—the Green Mountain Monk—this original and wonderful practice steeped in ancient wisdom.
