CRAFTSBURY COMMUNITY CARE CENTER ANNUAL COOKOUT AND AUCTION
Mark your calendar – Saturday, July 26th! The CCCC Board’s major fundraising event is a few weeks away. Please bring your family and friends to our delicious meal of home-cooked food followed by the lively auction in support of this very special residence.
A one night stay for two at the luxurious Stowe Mountain Lodge’s Timberline Studio (valued at $600) and a four person tour of the Cellars at Jasper Hill (priceless) will headline the live auction which Ron Sanville will begin at 12:45 p.m. Among the other exciting auction items are Boston Celtic tickets, a Gondola ride for four to just below the Mount Mansfield summit, an hour’s plane ride for three persons, gourmet cheesecakes for your next dinner party or family gathering, two hours of consulting from Forestry Manager, Ross Morgan, an Elinor Osborne photograph, a Dave Brown wooden bowl and several hours of landscaping and gardening from Laura Hill. The silent auction, starting at noon, will showcase a wide variety of gift certificates, jewelry, local pottery pieces, children’s games and puzzles.
This year in addition to the traditional deep-fried turkey, we will be serving roast pork – the pigs are being raised and donated by Sterling College. Pete’s Greens is supplying the potatoes and lettuce for salads which will be accompanied by baked beans and Alan Parker’s wonderful potato rolls. Once again the CCCC Bone Builders have agreed to bake a delectable array of cookies and brownies for dessert.
Cookout tickets are now on sale at CCCC - $10.00 for adults; $5.00 for children and free for children under five.
