Free Class: Tuesday, July 1st from 6:00-7:30pm at Carpenter Auditorium, Given Building, UVM Campus
Dr. Bruce Tranmer will host a free Community Medical School session on the largest nerve in the body. The sciatic nerve originates in the spine and then runs from the thigh to the sole of the foot. When compressed, the sciatic nerve can cause severe pain, weakness, numbness or tingling. Dr. Tranmer will explain the anatomical location of the nerve, the conditions that can lead to sciatica and different treatment approaches. The timeframe includes a Q&A session.
