Honeysuckle, barberry, and buckthorn are a few of the non-native plants invading Vermont's forests. Women Owning Woodlands Vermont (WOW VT) invites those who identify as female to join an interactive workshop that will introduce you to these invasive plant species!
We will spend the morning learning how to identify around 10 of the most common invasive plants, and a couple not-so-common ones. In the afternoon we will explore different management methods and hear about a long-term project at VLT's Button Farm to restore native plants to the field and forest. We'll wrap up the day with an opportunity to get your hands dirty testing out different techniques that you can use on your own land. Come ready to share your own tips, tricks or questions.
