Waterbury Ambulance has done so much for our community for more than 50 years. That being said, with the arrival of Covid, they have taken that service to a whole new level. Since the start of Covid ambulance personnel have administered over 150,000 tests and more than 55,000 vaccines. They are in desperate need of a new facility and between payment for their endless hours of Covid work and the generosity of the community they are well on their way to their $3 million goal, but are not there yet.
On October 14 Waterbury Fire Department will be hosting a Calcutta at the Main Street Station for the sole purpose of raising funds for the Waterbury Ambulance Station Creation Project. Please consider purchasing a $100 ticket for your chance at the $2000 grand prize. Only 100 tickets will be sold. Your ticket includes a traditional chicken pie dinner for two. Reach out to any Waterbury firefighter to get your ticket, before they are all sold out. Thank you.
