The Grindstone gravel grinder bike ride will be held on October 9th in Barre, starting and finishing at the Barre Town Recreation Area. The ride will offer three challenging routes (30/65/100km) that traverse Barre and the surrounding towns. The Grindstone aims to create a signature gravel cycling event in Barre and will support Millstone Trails Association, the Parrott Family and Pride Rides VT. The ride is grateful to be partnering with and supported by multiple local businesses including Cornerstone Pub & Kitchen, Maria's Bagels, GMCF, Dirt Church Brewing Company, Local Donut and Peltz Creative, as well as national brands (SkratchLabs, Picky Bars, Handup Gloves, Laird Superfood, Aero Tech Designs). The Grindstone has already raised nearly $1,000 for its beneficiaries.
If you would like to join the ride, register here: https://www.bikereg.com/grindstone
If you are not interested in riding but would like to be part of the fun, we welcome you! The Grindstone is a community-oriented gravel grinder which relies on support from volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities are fun, and will ensure riders have a safe and enjoyable time visiting Barre. Volunteers will be rewarded with a free hat, free meal & drink, free entry to a GMG event of your choice in 2023, and the satisfaction of having helped build a successful event in our community.
