HELD (Huntington Endowment for Library Development) is having its second Sunday Afternoon Irish Tea to raise funds in support of the Huntington Public Library.
The tea and concert will be on Sunday, September 18, at the Huntington Public Library. Mountain Lark, a group of local musicians, will play Irish harp music. There will be a variety of teas from around the world as well as small sandwiches and desserts. The cost is $20 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Stop in between the hours of 4 pm and 6 pm to enjoy this concert.
Whether you like your tea strong and black or light and fruity, you can enjoy "high tea" at the Huntington Public Library on Sunday, September 18.
About HELD: HELD was created as a nonprofit organization to raise money to create an endowment for the purpose of investing the money to support the Huntington Public Library. The fund was modeled on an endowment fund that operates for the benefit of the Kellogg Hubbard Library in Montpelier (although we are a long way off from an endowment of this magnitude). The endowment has started to generate enough interest to allow for modest contributions of $410 to the Library's budgets in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. The funds will be used to cover the costs of book and audiobook processing materials (covers, labels, etc).
In addition to attending the tea, the HELD Board hopes that you will sign up to contribute food:
