Featuring the Green Mountain Swing 18-piece Big Band!
Neighbors and friends are invited to a free Dance Party & Big Band jazz concert this Saturday night hosted by College Street Church.
- Come to Dance or Come to Listen!
- Dancers from VT Swings Dance Studio will help get us started and teach us a few basic swing dance moves. Come Early!
- Light refreshments
The event will be in the parking lot of the historic (1865) church building in the heart of downtown Burlington at the corner of College Street and Union Street.
Music includes big band jazz and swing, blues, latin jazz, and funk, including tunes of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra, Beatles, Chicago, Sade, Average White Band and more.
Green Mountain Swing, an all-volunteer jazz band and 501(3)c charitable organization will be accepting donations to the GMS Scholarship fund which provides scholarships and grants to VT student musicians. For more information and to apply go to their website, https://www.greenmountainswing.org
