Local singer/songwriter Jason Lee will be performing a benefit concert on June 28 on the lawn of the South Hero Congregational Church. All donations will go to benefit the solar energy project the church is pursuing. They plan to purchase 72 panels from the Grand Isle Solar Farm being built in Alburgh. Weather permitting, this will be an outdoor event so bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Jason's music is influenced by the Blues, Folk and Rock traditions. He plays at local establishments like the Blue Paddle, Snow Farm Vineyard, and at shows in Burlington. He can be seen every Saturday at the Grand Isle Farmer's Market.
The Congregation Church is a community church providing space for many local groups to meet and sponsor several programs including Food for Thought which feeds children throughout the County in the summer vacation weeks.
