Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is an essential component of the Mediterranean diet. The Vermont Italian Cultural Association (VICA) will host a presentation on Zoom by professor Maurizio Mandalà, a professor at the University of Calabria and currently an adjunct professor at UVM. Professor Mandalà teaches Physiology and Nutrition in Science and this presentation will focus on EVOO's anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antihypertensive effects.
